Privacy policy

Nurse Travelers is a job marketplace for travel nurses. This policy explains what we collect when you use our website and mobile app, why, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell your information, and you can delete your account on the website or in the app at any time.

Browsing the website

You don't need an account to search jobs on the website, and we don't set tracking or advertising cookies.

Visitor counts. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are used. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you. It records the pages viewed, the site that sent you, and general information such as country, browser and device type.
Server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider briefly keeps technical logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and working.

Your account

If you create an account on the website or in the mobile app, we store:

Your email address, to send sign-in codes. We don't use passwords.
Your profile, only what you choose to add: display name, home state, profession, specialties, years of experience, the states you're licensed in, and whether you hold a compact license.
Saved jobs and job alerts, including the search filters behind each alert and how often you want emails.
Notification settings, your device's push notification token if you turn on push alerts, and a record of the alerts we've sent you: which jobs, and when.
Which version of these policies you agreed to, and when.

On the website, your sign-in is kept in your browser's storage until you sign out. In the app, it's stored encrypted on your phone.

Job alert emails

We email you only about the alerts you set up, as often as you chose: as jobs are posted, once a day, or once a week.
Every alert email has a link to pause that alert and a link to unsubscribe from all alert emails. Many email apps also show an unsubscribe button that works in one tap. You can change or stop alerts anytime on your Job alerts page.
Emails come from alerts@mail.nursetravelers.health and sign-in codes from codes@mail.nursetravelers.health.
We don't put tracking pixels in our emails, and we don't track which links you click.

How we use it

To sign you in, save your jobs and alerts, and send the job alerts you ask for.
To show jobs that fit your profile.
To keep the service secure and fix problems.

We don't sell your information, share it for advertising, or send your profile to staffing agencies. When you tap View offer, you go to the agency's or job site's own page, and anything you share there is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.

Who helps us run the service

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

Supabase: our database and sign-in system, hosted in the United States.
Resend: sends our emails (sign-in codes and job alerts), from the United States.
Vercel: hosts the website and provides the visitor counts described above.
Expo, with Apple and Google: deliver push notifications to your phone.

Job listings

The jobs on Nurse Travelers come from staffing agencies, job sites and public sources. They describe jobs, not you. Pay figures are either stated by the source or clearly labeled as estimates.

Keeping or deleting your information

We keep your account information until you delete your account.
Delete your account on the website on your Job alerts page, or in the app under Profile, then Delete account. That immediately removes your profile, saved jobs, alerts, notification tokens and alert history. We keep only a one-way scrambled record that an account was deleted, which can't be turned back into your email address, and an anonymous count of emails we sent.
Backup copies held by our database provider are removed on its normal backup schedule.

Your choices and rights

Change your alerts and email settings on the website or in the app at any time, or turn off push notifications in your phone's settings.
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make a request, email us at info@nursetravelers.health.
We don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

Security

Information travels encrypted between your device and our servers. Our database is set up so each account can read only its own information. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach affecting you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Children

Nurse Travelers is for working healthcare professionals. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters for account holders, we'll also tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
